He found a way how to "see" if a crown is from a real gold or is it just partly from gold. First he weighted the crown and then took the gold which had the same weight.
The he sank gold and the crown and saw the gold displaced more water the the crown. And thats how he came to the solution.

Señor Pintarič, you have right!! But he said "Eureka!" when he jumped into bath full of water. Water level raised and some of it flows out of bath. He immediately understand that his body replaces water which flows out. Than he started doing what Pintarič said.

He found out that density determines how heavy a object or a certain size. He found figured out a way to find out if the crown is made out of pure gold by putting it in water and seeing how much it displaces.He then compared it to how much water pure gold displaces.If its the same the crown is also made from pure gold.
